2) RCT & Prosthesis

Rescue, Restore, Reinforce Your Tooth

When a tooth is severely damaged or infected, extraction isn’t the only option. Our Root Canal Treatment (RCT) removes the infected pulp from within the tooth, relieving pain and stopping the spread of infection – while preserving your natural tooth structure.

To ensure long – term strength, we follow the RCT with a prosthetic restoration – usually a dental crown or bridge – which protects the tooth, restores chewing function, and brings back your confident smile.

Ideal for:

  • Deep decay or dental trauma
  • Cracked or broken teeth with nerve involvement
  • Structurally weak teeth after infection

Benefits:

  • Saves your natural tooth
  • Eliminates pain and infection
  • Restores strength, shape, and function

3) Post and Core

When a tooth is severely broken (Only root portion is left) there may not be enough natural structure left to hold a crown securely.
In such cases, a Post and Core treatment helps rebuild and strengthen the tooth from the inside, giving it a solid foundation for a crown.

What Is a Post and Core?

A Post and Core is a restorative procedure that supports a weakened tooth after root canal treatment:

Post: A small rod (made of metal, fiber, or ceramic) is placed inside the treated root to provide internal support.

Core: A tooth-like structure is then built around the post using tooth coloured fillings  to recreate the natural shape.

Once the core is built, a dental crown is placed over it — restoring the tooth’s strength, function, and appearance.

Benefits of Post and Core Treatment :

  • Strengthens and stabilizes the remaining tooth structure
  • Provides a firm foundation for the crown
  • Restores chewing efficiency and tooth function
  • Prevents the need for extraction

 When It’s Needed:

  • Tooth is fractured or extensively decayed
  • After root canal treatment where most of the crown portion is missing
  • When there’s not enough tooth left to hold a crown
